This monthly recap is, yes again, a bit late. Been busy these past few days, trying to make the most out of some extraordinary ungiven benefit of going out and having fun. But nevertheless, I am here blogging yet again to satisfy that urge and hunger to do so. Anyway, September has been a great month too. Not hell as crazy like my August, I got tamed haha! But it was all good, I did some usual stuff and went back doing things I love. Which is great, because at the very least I enjoyed it all! So much for this intro, here’s how I spent the entire month of September.
It’s Raining Men. If usually it’s them ladies ruling my music choice, this time it’s the guys that did. For the whole month, three songs really sold out for me. First, David Archuleta’s CRUSH. You may find it icky, me liking the song, but the song has gotten me singing along everytime I play it. Archie really has this way of feeling each song he sings. Next song is THE MAN WHO CAN’T BE MOVED from The Script. Such an amazing song! No wonder it ruled several radio charts. Giving me chills each time I hear it. Finally, is Ne Yo’s CLOSER. Well yeah, it is indeed too late for me to rave about this song but I only get to appreciate it just last month. Probably because I didn’t paid attention to its words, which is the sole reason why I so love it. All these songs are on repeat mode most of the time, with the image of me enjoying it so much and singing along with it.
Zilch no more! If last August I failed to watch a single movie, which is quite a shock to some, well this month at least I got to watch four. Not bad, compared to zero for August haha! The first week I watched A Very Special Love in a cinema with a friend, which we really enjoyed. Then I also got the chance to see the classic film To Kill A Mockingbird, an amazingly enthralling piece I enjoyed a lot. A couple of weeks a go, courtesy of TV5, I chanced on watching 13 Going On 30. It was a bit of an 80’s Pinoy tale for me, but I kinda liked it though. Saved me from a boring night. And just a week ago, I finally checked out and watched the dvd I borrowed from Pop, Babel. This one’s a hands down, a brilliantly made film by Alejandro Gonzales Iñarritu, the same guy who gave us Amores Perros (which I really love!). Just check out my review for this one on my Multiply hehe!
Craving for more. It was in this month I finally finished reading New Moon. Finally because it took me quite a while to do so. It became a bit dragging for me, that’s why I sometimes fall asleep reading it. But I’m glad it picked up on the middle part until the end. It was still an exciting series, making me crave for more. I just hope that the next one, Eclipse, would be a notch higher. I have yet to buy a copy, prolonging the agony haha! Maybe next week. I still can’t wait for Twilight’s movie version. Good thing it was moved earlier! Yey! Anyway, here’s a YouTube clip of Ellen’s interview to Stephenie Meyer. Ellen’s really funny on this one.
Back to SGH! I am finally back to Seattle Grace Hospital a couple of weeks ago. And again, this would fall into the FINALLY category because it took a while for me to watch the Grey’s Anatomy season 4 dvd my friend gave me as a birthday present. I am not finished yet, just halfway through. But I must say, this is probably the most exciting and intriguing season ever! If not the best ever, the best so far. Really really love it! The conflicts, their struggles in both life and work, each and every character, everything in it! They all make it so real, and the acting was just so perfect. Amazing and wonderful series, indeed! It’s getting better and better after each season. I just can’t wait to finish all 17 episodes, I’m already on the eleventh, I think. So hooked again! Here’s a quote by Meredith Grey from the first episode of fourth season: “The more things change, the more they stay the same, and sometimes, change is good. Sometimes, change is everything.”
So that’s how I spent my September. Til the next monthly recap! 😉
