I turned 29 last July 31st. I know, another year older, but wiser I’d like to believe. I don’t want to dwell on the fact that I am getting older yet again. Instead, I focus on the fact that I should be thankful for another year life has given me, and the overflowing blessings God never cease to provide me and my family. That alone is reason enough to celebrate. I can’t help but reminisce what happened exactly a year ago, though. I was able to go to Singapore and celebrate my birthday there, roamed around (with Malaysia on the side), and stayed there for two months. Although luck didn’t smiled on me as the job I applied for was declined after it was offered to me, still I feel blessed that I get to travel and experience a lot of things, and meet a lot of people. And now, I am back and still here in our sovereign country with my loved ones, and with a high-paying job. Not bad, isn’t it? That’s why that Sunday morning, we went to the church and attended the 10:30AM service to worship and thank the Lord. I couldn’t be any more thankful. After the service, we had lunch over at Flavours Of China, SM The Block.

After our lunch, we bought some food for my expected visitors to drop by later that day. I didn’t intend to have a grand celebration because I’ve got some stuff to pay (priorities, priorities) and the weather’s been bad. It always rains on my birthday, anyway. It’s been like that since I was a kid. Around 5pm, my cousins, pamangkins (who have grown so much!) and Tita arrived. I must say they are my special visitors this year. It has been quite a while since we last saw each other, that’s why I made it a point to invite them. We had a great time catching up! So does Mom and Tita Tess.
My college friends Alfred and Au arrived few tics after. They brought with them the video or their wedding where I participated as a Best Man (and wedding singer), and we all watched it after my cousins and pamangkins watched some K-Horror flicks. Last to arrive were Gly and Vienne. They both boozed the night away with me.

And as the rain poured, so does the birthday greets/wall posts/messages/tweets! (not to mention the on-air greets from Rushers Toni, Jobert, Jrhyan, Ash, Corix, Izzie, Norsy, and the rest of the Teriyaki Boy gang haha, two days earlier on The Morning Rush) It flooded! So overwhelming. I feel so loved. So, thank you to all who remembered! Thank you for making it special. Here are some greetings I liked the most. I know thanking the following ones won’t suffice so I will have their greets make a special participation in this entry.
From mah sistah Farah
From a dear friend/former colleague Lei
From my Tita Joy and the rest of our relatives in Cagayan De Oro
From a Rusher friend Sash (@sashapurse)
From my #1 antagonist, @Mr_Perk of The Morning Rush 🙂
From another Rusher friend Stephen (@stephensoul)
And from Rodel, Rusher ML friend
Side story about Rodel’s birthday greeting: I tweeted that my Dad spilled something on my Facebook Wall. Apparently, he commented on my status about Eat Bulaga’s 32nd anniversary and told that he remembered the time when I joined Little Mr. Pogi hahaha! I think Rodel was able to read that. He tweeted me after, and I knew, I just knew that he’d bring it up once he greets me on my birthday. And true enough, he did. Not that I’m complaining, it made my day. And so does the rest of the greetings! Be it on Facebook, Twitter, through text, to all who called, to all who made it to the celebration, and to everyone who remembered. Thank you all for making it extra special! I cannot thank you enough. I appreciate it so much. Here are the last two photos to cap this birthday post off. The two photos made by my very special college friends Dhang and Jay, who are both in Dubai. I am so touched by their gesture.

Again, THANK YOU!!! For all the love and for making my life’s journey more special and memorable. Cheers! 🙂
