Late birthday post. So yes, as the title suggests, I just turned 30 this year, last July 31st. Has time flown that fast? Three decades of my so-called life. One more year and my age won’t be on the calendar anymore. I actually am kind of excited to, well, grow older and find out what lies ahead in the future. But this birthday also made me look back at those thirty years of existence, and I couldn’t help but be thankful – for the continued blessings, for my friends, and of course my family. Which is why I went ahead and celebrated with them this year.
First up, I celebrated with my RX friends Joyce and Selwyn (my ka-threesomes). We went to Fran’s Sweet Ecstasy over at Cubao Expo for some sweet treats, then visited Francine at WOW FM, and capped the night off with some booze (and a riot, too) at Metrowalk. It was a fun night!
I had to work on my actual birthday so I instead celebrated it the weekend after. I invited some friends and cousins over at Tramway in Timog to feast at their sumptuous buffet. We then stuffed our tummies with delicious treats for two hours! I am so glad my cousins En and Feb were able to attend. And also my college friend Jay who went straight to Timog from his Dubai flight just to see us. Talk about effort. Thank you so much!
We capped the night off with booze and of course videoke! And we just loved the KTV place we went in to. It’s called Music Bank, just along Timog Avenue where Tramway is. It’s clean, the rooms got props for singing like funny wigs and cymbals, the songs are current (there’s Adele, Gotye, Bruno Mars, etc.), and the Korean owner gave us a complimentary fruit platter!
Last part of my birthday celebration was spent with my Dad in Taguig. I went to their place and once again experienced Tita Rina’s goood cooking! Her steamed tilapia is the BEST! No kidding.
And here are birthday greetings from my overseas friends Dhang, Jeno, and Bert to cap off this entry. This pretty much sums up what I felt the entire year and what I wanted to do in the succeeding years – to aim higher, and continue to be thankful for friends and family support all throughout my journey. I cannot thank you all enough for letting me feel the love!
