This was the view that greeted us one Sunday morning at Dakak Park and Beach resort, still in the city of Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte. Me and two of my friends are really excited for the second part of our trip, that’s why we woke up extra early that morning, fixed ourselves and our stuff up before the service arrived at the pension house to pick us up. It was around a 30-minute drive to the city, but worth the wait!
So after we settled in our room, it’s time to explore the island!
I love how quiet and uncrowded the place is. Truly relaxing and calming. I am a beach person, but I kinda hate crowded places, so it’s such a treat to me. Our room is quite comfy, too. Very spacious and cozy.

Roaming around can get you hungry so we stopped by and had some merienda and late lunch. With the seemingly endless photo op on the side, of course.
Here’s the picturesque view fronting our spot while eating. It’s like a computer wallpaper!
After that, it’s time to hit the beach!
We also tried night swimming, and loved their jacuzzi. It felt like somebody is massaging my whole back. Loved that feeling! After that, around 8:30PM, we prepared to leave for Fantasyland. Part of our package is a tour at that theme park and enjoy free rides. We enjoyed our stay there until about midnight, then went back to the resort, called it a night and rested our tired bodies.
The next day, since we didn’t get to have dinner, we woke up with our tummies grumbling. Good thing, part of our package was free breakfast! Buffet, to boot. That’s why we devoured ourselves chomped away. After that, we hit the beach anew for the last time before preparing to leave.
Around 10AM, we went back to our room and started to prepare and pack our stuff as we have a 1PM flight to catch. We really can’t believe this vacation will be over in a matter of hours, but we had a swell time the entire three days! As what I have mentioned on my previous post, this trip served its purpose. Our stress, be it personal or work related, was washed away with the sea, hoping it wouldn’t come back.
Our parting shots
Goodbye, Dipolog! It was a pleasure. We had a great time and we hope to see you again!
