It’ll be one more week and our family is off for our Hong Kong vacation! We are all so excited! And since I wasn’t able to post anything here about my Singapore and Malaysia trips last year, might as well do it now as sort of an introduction for another out of the country getaway. I know I should have blogged about it back then, but I’ve been very busy and only had limited time to spend online. Anyway, to start things off, here are some pictures my Mom and I took in Johor Bahru, Malaysia – just a 15 minute bus ride from my cousin’s place in Woodlands, Singapore.
Mom wanted to go to KL, but it’ll be a 5 hour bus ride!
Looks neat, right? But before we were able to roam around the area, ate and bought some stuff, we’ve experienced a mishap. After we exited Singapore, Mom kind of forgot where to ride the bus that’s why we followed the arrow that said “To Johor Bahru” not knowing it will lead us to a tunnel where we can’t ride a bus. So what we did was go back, but unfortunately we need to go through the Immigration side again. An officer escorted us first to their office, and interviewed us and asked some questions as to what really happened. I was the one who explained it all. Me and my Mom were a bit nervous at that time, but good thing after a few minutes, they gave us back our passports and escorted us back outside. Whew! I will not ever forget that experience, but we just laugh it off now every time we remember it.
Anyway, here are some other pictures in Johor when I returned sometime August of last year with my cousins Girlie (and her hubby kuya Val and baby Viel) and Hilda. We celebrated Singapore’s 45th birthday there. 🙂
Up next: my Singapore photos! 🙂
