Our family on my Mom’s side has been running yearly Christmas reunions for more than a decade now, I believe. I just lost count on the actual years we’ve been doing it but just the same, it’s the event that each one of us are getting excited about every time December kicks in. This year, Tita Yanie and her family in Trece Martirez, Cavite hosted the reunion. Although some members are not here in the country, and Anton is now at peace in Heaven, still we had fun and dedicated the activity to those who are not with us.

Fifteen minutes before 12 midnight, we started our tradition of gift-giving. Each family will give out gifts to each member of other families and we’ll open it once the clock strikes 12, Christmas day. As usual, the kids loved it! I’m just glad we’re doing Christmas this way, so that kids will always have something to look forward to every year. I remember how my heart would grow happier each and every Holidays when I was just a little kid because of the presents I can’t wait to open.

As usual, we feasted with great food, overflowing booze and of course videoke!
After a whole night of having fun and another year of successful family reunion, it’s time to go home. It’s always great to cap off the year with the company of your family. Although it’s kinda sad that we’re not complete every year, what’s important is that we’re keeping our tradition alive and always having a blast spending time with each other. Here are our parting shots, early Christmas morning before going home:
Merry Christmas, everyone! Happy Holidays! 🙂
