Don’t we all love reunions? Or at least being reunited with someone you haven’t seen for quite a while? As a line from a song goes, “Reunited and it feels so good.” Yes, it does feel good to get to see, hug, kiss and catch up with people you miss the most again. Last weekend was the most packed weekend I had. Three of my dearest friends working abroad are all back here in the country for a vacation; Vicky, one of my closest high school friend, and Bert and Dhang from college. I couldn’t even get over the fact that three of them are back here. Blissful, really.
Vicky was the first one I got to see again. I even picked her up from the airport. Yes, that’s how excited I was to see her again. The next day, I arranged a get-together with Gly, another friend of ours, and had dinner at Max’s Trinoma. After that, we crashed into Gly’s place to cap off the night.

The next day, Gly and I joined Vicky to buy some stuff in Quiapo for her relatives. She’s now in GenSan where she’d be spending the rest of her vacation. Too bad I won’t be here anymore when she comes back on the 25th. Vicky will be back in Hong Kong on the 29th. It was so nice to see her again!
Next up is the most awaited reunion of the year with my college friends Popoys. We’ve been waiting for this for months since Dhang and Bert informed us they’ll be coming home this July. We initially planned on going out of town, but unfortunately we weren’t able to push it through. Instead, I told them that dinner and booze night would do, what’s important is that we see each other again. And as expected, we had a blast!

Boozin’ the night away, all 8 of us
We spent the night in some cheap hotel hehe, it’s our group’s first time!
Popoys and I have been friends for 11 years now, and I’m so proud that our group is still in-tact and solid as ever. Back in college, we were 17 in the group but of course some of us had to go on their separate ways after graduating, but still most are in contact with all of the members. That evening will be remembered forever. We had fun, as always. We had a blast reminiscing our college days, even the “tampuhans” and the “issues”, which all made us who we are now, still strong as a group, loving each other despite our differences. Ok, I’d rather stop or I’ll cry haha! All this reuniting talk is making me a bit of emotional because I’ll be embarking on a new phase of my life soon and it might take a long time before seeing these guys again. Anyway, I’ll just probably post another entry about that. I don’t want to end this post with a sad note.
So to all my friends, it was nice seeing all of you again. As what I’ve told most of you, it definitely won’t be the last. Distance may keep us apart, but in our hearts we’ll forever be on each other’s side. Keep in touch! 🙂
