What would you not want to last? Love, perhaps? A great friendship, I suppose. A challenging career or work would be nice. Your life, or a loved one’s life? The list could go on. But as a song goes, “Some good things never last. Why can’t they last?” I honestly don’t know the answer to that as well, but this post will mainly discuss about some lasts I’ve (or someone or the nation) had recently. Confused? Me too (I’m darn sleepy. I’ve said good night on Twitter twice already, but I’ve got this idea so I thought of posting a blog entry about it). So here it goes.
Rushers’ June 2010 EB
This is The Morning Rushers’ EB for this month, the first EB I attended since last year. Christmas to be exact. Just a footnote here, the Rushers’ EB always happens every last Saturday of each month. Glad I was part of this monthly thing again. It’s always nice to see those familiar faces and the new ones too. And since I don’t have work anymore, I can now freely attend. Good news: next month’s EB will fall exactly on my birthday July 31! Bad news: I won’t be attending because I’ll be on my birthday vacation. Too bad. This is not the last EB, anyways.
After the Rushers’ EB, we headed to Megamall, had lunch then watched Toy Story 3 (with Oscar, Elen, Ron, Ninya, and Bullet). It’s the movie’s third and last installment; and I personally think it’s the best of the three. I’m not much of a fan of the first two but I love the last one. Very heart-warming. I nearly cried during the last part. Yes, nearly. I was able to hold my tears hehe! Great movie! I have seen it twice already. Just watched it yesterday with my twin brothers, in 3D. It is definitely not the last time that I’ll watch it for sure.
Today, June 30th 2010, is Gloria Macapagal – Arroyo’s last day as President of the Republic of the Philippines. Also today, is Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino’s last day being President-elect because he is now officially our country’s 15th President. It is indeed a historic event. Yellow, for the nth time, became the nation’s color. As I compose this entry, I can actually hear (yes, hear only and not see) the fireworks which I believe are from the party at the Quezon Memorial Circle. So to our new leader, I, together with the millions who voted and trusted you, wish you all the best and am hoping that you would make us proud. Mabuhay ka, P-Noy! I believe this is not the last we’ll be seeing and hearing from you.
This blog entry was created on the last day of the month, but this definitely is not the last I’ll be posting! 🙂
