Today, June 12, marks the 112th anniversary of our sovereign country’s independence. More than a hundred years of being free; More than a hundred years celebrating how great our race is. We should be proud and be thankful for our great heroes who sacrificed themselves to make all this possible. A hundred and twelve years may not even be half of the three hundred and thirty three years we’ve been colonized by the Spaniards, but owning the independence that is rightfully ours is something that we all should be celebrating each year. I just hope that in the near future, what our fellowmen fought for won’t be gone to waste. Everyday, let’s try to rekindle something of the past and try to ponder on things that will make us appreciate our being free; as an individual, as a nation, and as a country.
Meanwhile, I can consider myself free because I just resigned from work after five years and five months. Not that work’s been locking me up from things I needed to do, it’s just that I personally think that it’s time to let go and finally move on. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tremendously enjoyed my stay and tenure in our company, especially in the first four years or so, where I worked with the most wonderful people one can only imagine. But the last 7 to 8 months or so has been a struggle for me. I was transferred to another account wherein I gave it a try, but unfortunately the pieces didn’t seem to fit perfectly for me. As time passed by, my heart suddenly grew tired and weary, therefore affecting my performance. Personal and family matters arose as well, which eventually triggered me on deciding to finally quit.
So to all the DA & MSN people, it has been a pleasure working with you all! Thank you for being a part of my journey. And to NCO, thank you so much for the fruitful five years and five months. Thank you for all the great memories, and most of all, thank you so much for all the wonderful people you brought to my life. So long! 🙂
