Would you honestly believe it? We’re now down to the last, what, three/four days of 2009! It’s the start of a new decade! And what a year it was for me. This is not a recap for the year though haha! I will probably do that if I’d be in the mood for blogging in the next few weeks. This post, however, will mainly discuss on how my December shaped up. As many would agree with me on this, December is the most crazy month for all of us! Packed schedules, Christmas parties here and there, get-togethers, reunions, and yes, work! Well, lucky for me I’m on leave until next year 🙂 But as I’ve mentioned on some previous post, or probably on Facebook, the Holiday season is my most favorite time of the year. For some reason, it seems like everyone’s happy during this season, especially the kids. And I just love hearing Christmas songs everywhere. It gives me this certain type of elation I can’t explain. Anyway, so much for the intro. Here’s a quick recap on how my December went:
*Welcome back party for Jojit*
A dear college friend who’s working in Dubai had a vacation here in the PI for the Holidays. It was sort of a reunion for him and his high school buddies which made it more fun! We all had a blast boozin and singin the night away. Although only three of us from his college friends made it, still it was a fun fun night!
*My twin brothers’ 15th Birthday!*
They’re all grown up now. Jeremiah’s even taller than me! Not too long ago, I was just changing their diapers and washing their feeding bottles. Oh how time flies. Emo! hahaha! We celebrated their 15th birthday and threw a swimming party with their classmates and some of mom’s friends. And yeah, they all boozed the night away too!
*Christmas with Balikatan pips*
These guys have been my friends for more than a decade now. For the lack of better name, I call them the Balikatan people because they’re part of that org way back in their college days. Thanks to my then neighbor and long time friend Sharon for introducing them to me when I was in high school. To date, this has been the happiest Christmas get-together we have had because of the game I brought, Guesstures! hahaha!
*Christmas with B1 Gang*
You should be seeing five persons in each picture but sad to say, two of my very dear high school friends are abroad so we’re left with celebrating without Vicky and Lenny. But still, we had fun and even got to talk to them over the phone while having dinner. We roamed around SM North, had coffee then watched Avatar on 3D. Whatta night it was!
*Christmas with Family (Reunion ’09)*
Reunion in my mom’s side has been a yearly thing and we are, I think, almost ten years running. This year, however, aside from the yearly absence of my Tito Noy’s family from Palawan, it was my Tita Yanie’s family who failed to attend because they all went to Singapore to spend the Holidays there. It was still a fun get-together, as always. We did the gift giving as soon as the clock strikes 12 midnight, loaded our tummies with mouth-watering food, and of course boozed and sang the night away!
*Christmas with Popoyz*
The number of attendees for our college group of friends Popoy Holiday get-together has been dwindling for the past several years. Most of them are abroad and has family of their own now, so I can’t blame them at all. It’s always nice to reckon, however, that we’ve been this big group who used to celebrate Christmas with the perfect attendance of 15! To say the least, I wish for that to happen again. But I guess not at this moment. Emo, yet again haha!
*Christmas with The Morning Rush family*
What better way to cap off this month, or should I say this year, by being part of The Morning Rush Christmas EB! It was actually my first time to attend a Rushers’ EB, and I’m glad I did. I’ve been listening to TMR since they returned to RX (yes, that’s the only time I listened to them, solid RX ‘to eh haha!), but only get to participate lately. It was so nice to finally meet those people you only get to hear the names on air, or those you only tweet or see on Facebook. Although some of them I’ve already met and known for years now. Until the next EB’s to come! 🙂
So, there. A not-so-bad December, I should say. Glad that I’d be ending this year with high spirits. This December recap actually is lacking three events I’ve missed. First, our company Christmas party hosted by Gelli Victor and GQ. Also the RX Concert Series Face the Music special with the R & B Princess Kyla. And lastly, the Christmas family reunion with my Dad’s side. Well, there’s always next year! 🙂
