Wow, it has been a while since I posted a review here. I usually post them on my Multiply, that’s why sometimes I get lazy to transfer them here. But since I am on a masipag mode today, I will copy paste them now. I have finally watched a movie this month! Two actually, one in a cinema and one at home with my best bud, the dvd player. And I also got to finish the novel I am reading, so here it is.
Aaaahh, classic films! There’s something about it that amazes me, and this one won’t be an exception. I bought a copy of this movie last month but only got to watch it the other day. I liked the entirety and simplicity of it. The profoundness which really made me awake watching in the wee hours of the morning is really something. No wonder it was dubbed as one of the best film ever (or something like that hehe).
And this Gregory Peck guy, damn ang galing nya! The most effective actor to play a lawyer, for me. His deep voice says it all. I love the ones who played as his kids Scout and Jem, ang cute nila! Two thumbs up for their acting! At dito pala ang movie debut ni Robert Duvall, he played Boo, the mysterious neighbor. Sa ending lang sya pinakita hehe! A brilliant film! Too bad I didn’t get to read the book first. Maybe soon, and then watch the movie again after reading it haha.. 😉
Well yeah, this is the one I watched in a cinema with a friend. It was one Monday afternoon and I had this itch to catch a movie. What I actually want to watch is the horror flick The Gravedancers, but my dear friend Vicky told me she wanted to laugh and feel good instead of be frightened. So off we went to fall in line to get our tickets when I suddenly noticed that there’s a lot of old people in line too. Vicky and I can’t help but laugh, not out loud though, coz they might get offended. Turns out that it was Grandparents Day that day and my cousin informed me that senior citizens are free to watch movies every Monday and Tuesday. Kaya pala! hehe!
So, about the movie. It was a nice one, very Pinoy style but very edgy. Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz were exceptionally funny and cute on screen. They blend well, I think. Lots of funny scenes. I liked the one when they were in a meeting then Miggy (John Lloyd) teased Laida (Sarah) if she’s still a virgin and if she can say the word Sex. He went, “Kaya mo bang sabihin ang salitang Sex? Sex? Sex?!” Really funny! The story’s a bit usual, same old drama on the side with the main characters’ love story in the middle of it all. Their acting was a bit average, but I always liked John Lloyd’s acting so I’ll be biased on this. Everything else is ok, we had fun watching it!
I also, especially, liked the first part, when in her dream, Bella thought who she saw was her grandmother pero sya pala un! Creepy! Pero ang galing. And also the werewolves thing, I can really imagine those huge creatures. Very well written and exciting most of the times. Hats off to Ms. Meyer! I will probably buy the sequel next week, it should be good hehe! Medyo bitin yung ending eh, but still, worth reading.
