The thirty days of the month of April has just passed by very quickly, and my oh my it’s already May! We’re fast approaching the first half of the year of the Rat. But before that, here’s a recap of the past month’s highlight. Just like my March Madness entry, this will discuss the stuff I’ve been up to the whole month. These are mere personal events that shaped up the fool’s month.
The summer fever continues. And indeed it was a hot one! Hot in the sense that I get to visit my birthplace CDO again. I wouldn’t get into details anymore because I already posted a four-part entry about it haha! I also had some swimming moments somewhere else with family on my mom’s side but I will separately discuss it. Packed as my April as it seemed that I failed to join in two outings my friends invited me to. One with my batchmates at work and the other with my elementary classmates. Sad!
Idol delight. Still delightful, although the show said Malu-bye! to our very own Ramiele the first week of April, when they did Dolly Parton (country week). I stayed glued to the show though every Wednedsday and Thursday evenings and as it progresses, David Cook clearly shined! I am now rooting for him. And now that it’s down to four (Brooke White just got voted out!), I think it will be an all-David finale.
Mariah Carey vs. Leona Lewis! Well, not that I want them to fight in a boxing ring or something. But these two ladies are currently ruling the Billboard charts for ten weeks now! Carey had her 18th number 1 from her new album E=MC2, while Leona Lewis broke records as she became the first Brit artist to have a number 1 album/single from her debut album Spirit after (sorry I forgot the name of the artist who held the record the last time). Guess I’m not that prepared and failed to do my research hehe! But heck, I love them both! Their songs are now on repeat mode in my player.
Earth Day! April 22 is the official date, but I think we should make everyday Earth Day. If you’ve been watching the news lately, or at least being aware of it, the situation has gone serious! I don’t want to discuss it in details because I think everybody knows what it is happening. I hope we all do our part in taking good care of our Mother Earth. Let us all be responsible in every act that we do, please! Before it’s too late.
Baby Romrom turned 1. My pamangkin Romark Debuque, son of my favorite and closest cousin Mariness Abrenio-Debuque turned one last April 24. We celebrated at their place in Trece Martirez, Cavite and we had a blast! Our get together actually became a sort of a mini family reunion where we had some drama moments. A tita of ours revealed their personal family problem they’ve been keeping for over a year now. We were all shocked upon learning about it that we all cried! After that, we all celebrated. Although shit happens, life is still beautiful and there are lots of reasons to celebrate it. After a fun, dramatic, serious and wasted night, we all went to a falls nearby the area and celebrated anew. Life is indeed beautiful!
So that’s how I spent my April. And now that it’s already May, plans just kept on pouring in! I still have a lot of things to attend to, and outings to enjoy at! See yah next month!
